Michela FRONTINO
È nata a Trani (BT), 1981. Ha studiato arte contemporanea presso “Alma Mater Studiorum, Università di Bologna” (2006) e “fotografia e visual design” presso la Fondazione Forma Milano (borsa di studio del governo pugliese: progetto bollenti spiriti - 2009). Michela alterna l'attività di archivista e curatrice alla ricerca artistica. I suoi progetti si sono concentrati sull'evoluzione del linguaggio fotografico nel campo della documentazione culturale e sociale. Il suo progetto esprime l'idea della fotografia come una forma di pensiero, che cambia e si trasforma nelle mutevoli epoche storiche e nelle sue modalità di rappresentazione. Dal 2013 è co-fondatrice del laboratorio di ricerca Glooscap.
She was born in Trani (BT), 1981. She has studied contemporary art at “Alma Mater Studiorum, University of Bologna” (2006) and “photography and visual design” at Fondazione Forma Milano (grant from government of Puglia: bollenti spiriti project – 2009). Michela alternates archivist and curator activity to artistic research. Her projects has been focusing on the evolution of the photographic language in the field of cultural and social documentation. Her project express the idea of photography as a form of thinking, which changes and transforms itself to the changing historical eras and its modes of representation. From 2013 she is co-founder of the research laboratory Glooscap.
