Zacharie GAUDRILLOT - ROY

Between 2006 and 2008, he failed miserably his scientific studies, preferring to pursue his passion for daydreaming and watching movies. Then he discovered himself a passion for photography, so he started attending the photography school of Condé in 2007.
After a shady period, when he worked particularly for the Biennale of contemporary art and made pictures for the city of Lyon, he opened a photo workshop named L'Abat-Jour in 2013, where he still organizes exhibitions and works on collective artistic projects.
His work is published and exhibited in festivals such as Circulation(s) in Paris, Voies Off in Arles, Manifesto in Toulouse, Riga photography Biennial among others. He also had some personal exhibitions, the most recent taking place in cultural center of Toulouse.
In 2015, he became a member of Parallele, a collective of 6 photographers, and since 2018, he and 4 other artists found Trouble Collectif, a multidisciplinary and experimental group.
He is mostly involved in photography and video, but also uses other types of mediums such as writing, sound recording and art installations.
